SAFE STAGES:
A MIAMI DRAG STORY

Safe Stages: A Miami Drag Story is a two-part podcast series that explores Miami's drag scene as art, visibility, and activism.

Over the past few years, Florida and its vibrant queer scene have become a hot topic of both social and political conversation. With targeted legislation, legal battles, and closing venues, drag performers in Miami continue to face pushback.

Safe Stages documents up close and personally how Miami's drag community responds to these pressures, transforming performance into resistance, and each stage into a safe space for queer art and self-expression.

Episode 01: Bonnie Builder

Miami based performer Bonnie Builder reflects on her personal journey with drag, building community, and advocating for inclusion. Her story highlights how performance can become a platform for connection, education, and resilience in the queer community.
